Area Business Manager - NORTH - Mining and Construction

A successful and rapidly expanding FTSE 100 engineering support services organisation is looking to take on an Area Business Manager to cover the North of the country within the mining and construction industry.

The role is to deliver global and centralised fleet-management solutions to organisations operating in the mining and construction industry. It will work to deliver a continuous improvement strategy that maximises the ability to reduce incremental costs whilst meeting the required level of asset availability in order to deliver first class services that creates effective and sustainable partnering relationships. It will be responsible for the entire North region and will look to drive performance and lead the teams as well as having full P&L responsibility.

A successful candidate will have;

• Experience of having P&L responsibilities
• Significant fleet management experience in a mining or construction or relevant industry
• Knowledge of heavy mobile plant and auxiliary equipment, eg quarry and aggregate
• An awareness of health and safety as well as quality
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and interact with clients confidently and with credibility
• Experience of budgets, forecasts and costings.
• Ability to identify revenue and growth opportunity

- Salary: GBP60,000 - GBP66,000 + car allowance + 20% bonus
