Logistics Planner
(Chilled Food Services)

Salary c. £20,000 p.a. + company pension scheme + death in service benefit + 25 days holiday p.a. plus bank holidays + mobile phone allowance + laptop
Full Time, 6 months probationary leading to Permanent
EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience within a planning environment essential, retail/forecast planning desirable.
THE ROLE
As a Logistics Planner you will provide support in a cross section of areas within the logistics department, primarily in the area of chilled planning for a remote co-packer and a remote consolidator. Your other responsibilities will include:
• Stock management at both sites
• Preparing daily pick instructions in a timely manner
• Preparing daily production plans
• Ordering materials as required to support the sales forecast
• Liaising and cooperating with the sales teams to ensure an excellent service level
• Maintaining and publishing weekly and monthly service level reports
THE PERSON
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, be a self-starter, highly organised and have good time management skills. It is important in this position that you are an excellent communicator and administrator with excellent IT competence, including Excel skills. You must also be able to work under pressure and be solution focused, but within a strong team ethos.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• The position is based in the Leeds office but will include an element of travel
• The role will also involve cross training in other disciplines to provide effective cover and support as required by the Logistics department
