The SEO Account Manager is responsible for analysing, researching and implementing SEO techniques in order to enhance website visibility and brand awareness. The role involves creating and implementing SEO strategy including the creation of content, technical site checks, outreach and social media promotion.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Report to SEO Manager and liaise with other SEO team members to analyse clients websites to identify search engine optimisation criteria for future strategy
- Liaise with Account Managers regarding SEO work planned and completed
- Create recommendations on the technical aspects of improving a website for SEO
- Identify and build relationships with external websites for outreach
- Plan and prioritise work accordingly, meeting set deadlines
- Use internal system to track work completed and report on this when necessary, making improvements where necessary
- Set an example for junior members of the team, giving advice and guidance where necessary
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of SEO
- Working knowledge of CMS platforms
- Working knowledge of online Google tools
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Understanding of how websites work
- Have created and/or updated a website with the intention of gaining more visitors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable)
- Have marketed a website previously using SEO techniques
- Previous experience of technical aspects of websites

- Interest in learning new techniques in SEO
- Able to manage own time and prioritise to meet deadlines
- Initiative to use SEO techniques to improve websites
- Excellent communication skills
