We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Empty Homes Maintenance Team Leader covering our Berkshire region.
You will be accountable for the day to day delivery of the empty homes property repair and mutual exchange team activity, providing front line ownership of the programme and its connection with both the resident and customer.
You will also be responsible for the local in-house empty homes team including any subcontractors employed, together with the audit and control process, ensuring that delivery meets Sovereign Housing service levels and is to the agreed standards in terms of safety, quality and performance.
You will need a trades background and experience within the Housing sector, ideally within Voids/Empty Homes, and be able to demonstrate experience of ensuring that forecasts for labour, materials and subcontracted resources are appropriately planned and budgeted for
You need to display strong influencing skills and the ability to organise workloads to make effective use of time and resources. You will need to demonstrate experience of managing staff and performance of external contractors, to ensure that the targets of your team are achieved, and that Health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Strong communication skills are vital and be able to deal with a wide range of people including, internal clients, direct reports, contractors and residents.
