Site Engineer/Supervisor (Electrical Bias)

Working within a well established and busy engineering team, the successful candidate will be qualified in Electrical Engineering or time served, with 17^th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.  Your CV must detail previous experience working in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Working directly for the Operations Manager, you will supervise and work alongside a small team of engineers and electricians – this is a very’ hands on’ role.

Your duties will include:

• planned preventative maintenance scheduling
• overseeing the engineers and electricians work
• all aspects of electrical maintenance work including PLCs and drivers

The role could, for the right candidate also involve the following:

• assisting with the purchasing of stock etc for the engineering team
• assisting with facilities management and site security.

Key skills/experience:

• excellent communication skills
• confident approach when dealing with problems/issues on site
• time served, or qualified electrical engineer (ideally 17^th Edition)
• flexible approach to working
• experience in relevant electrical maintenance and improvement works
• able to work well under pressure, during busy periods, breakdowns etc
• able to carry out work in a safe manner, and to high standards
• able to provide an excellent level of support to the Operations Manager.

Standard working week is 45 hours – either 8am – 6pm, or 7am – 5pm, with flexibility to cover busy periods and breakdowns.
