Working within a well established and busy engineering team, the successful candidate will be qualified in Electrical Engineering or time served, with 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.  Your CV must detail previous experience working in a similar role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Working directly for the Operations Manager, you will supervise and work alongside a small team of engineers and electricians – this is a very’ hands on’ role.

Your duties will include:

  • planned preventative maintenance scheduling
  • overseeing the engineers and electricians work
  • all aspects of electrical maintenance work including PLCs and drivers

The role could, for the right candidate also involve the following:

  • assisting with the purchasing of stock etc for the engineering team
  • assisting with facilities management and site security.

Key skills/experience:

  • excellent communication skills
  • confident approach when dealing with problems/issues on site
  • time served, or qualified electrical engineer (ideally 17th Edition)
  • flexible approach to working
  • experience in relevant electrical maintenance and improvement works
  • able to work well under pressure, during busy periods, breakdowns etc
  • able to carry out work in a safe manner, and to high standards
  • able to provide an excellent level of support to the Operations Manager.

Standard working week is 45 hours – either 8am – 6pm, or 7am – 5pm, with flexibility to cover busy periods and breakdowns.
