Corporate Lawyer, Manchester (From 1-4yrs PQE)
We are currently recruiting a lawyer between 1-4years PQE (or equivalent) to join our cluients' Manchester Corporate Group. We are looking for strong corporate lawyers with experience in corporate finance, M&A (domestic and cross border) and private equity (beneficial but not essential).
Corporate lawyers work with clients at the forefront of their strategic development advising on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, flotations, takeovers, buy-ins and buyouts, joint ventures and investments. Their detailed knowledge and close working relationships with other professionals enables them to achieve the right structure for deals and to bring together appropriate funders and entrepreneurial investors.
Specialise in the following areas:
· M&A
· Corporate Finance
· Private Equity
· AIM
· Joint Ventures
Our client has extensive experience of advising on public takeovers, both recommended and contested flotations/initial public offerings secondary issues including rights issues, placings and open offers private placements corporate governance compliance with companies, securities and financial services legislation including the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority and the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.
Strong sector focus in Advance Manufacturing & Technology, Energy, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Retail and Leisure and Insurance and Financial Services.
The Candidate Required
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a City firm or a large regional practice. Candidates must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. They will be a team player with a strong client focussed approach. They will also have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills.
