This is a fantastic time to join our client's Community & Events fundraising team and an opportunity to be part of changing the future for people affected by MS. If you want to be part of a team working hard to be bigger, better and raise more than ever before, and play a vital role in making that happen, this is the job for you.
Our client's people are key to their success and they offer a vibrant, progressive environment where you will make a difference. Current post holders have all gone on to promotion recently so they're looking for two new Community and Events Fundraising Officers to work in their fast paced and dynamic Community & Events Fundraising team.
This is an ideal position for someone who has experience in community and events fundraising and is ready to hit the ground running to deliver high levels of expected income. Our client's fundraising plans are ambitious and your contribution will be integral to achieving them.
You will be educated to Degree level standard, or equivalent, and will be a confident computer user.
Position: Community & Events Fundraising Officers (2 Full time posts, fixed term for 12 months)
Location: NW London
Salary: Band D, Level 1 GBP23,905 - GBP27,391, plus excellent benefits
Department: Fundraising
Reference: CFCEFO65
This role is customer focused and you'll spend lots of time stewarding our client's amazing supporters to maximise their fundraising. You'll also manage relationships with a number of third party agencies and internal teams, in particular with other colleagues in the Community and Events team and as such you will need to be able to build personable and effective connections at all levels.
In addition to delivering current fundraising products on target, you will be responsible for innovating, developing and delivering new fundraising activities where appropriate, monitoring and evaluating products and making suggestions for future growth.
In 2015 our client is launching their new five year organisational strategy, making it an exciting time to join them. The strategy is based on what people affected by MS have said is important to them, and it gives them a clear and determined focus. They have big aspirations and they need to attract brilliant new people to help us achieve their ambitious goals.
Their Officers are responsible for the full project management and delivery of key community fundraising products, including flagship events such as Virgin London Marathon and the Great North Run. There are also exciting new events like Tough Mudder being added to their portfolio for 2015. Our client gets really excited by their events programme and they want you to as well. You'll be fully supported by great line management to test new ideas, increase efficiency and raise lots of money.
Our client put people affected by MS at the centre of everything they do, and it's this commitment that unites them across the UK. Their vision is a world free from the effects of MS. Their ultimate goal is to find a cure, but until then, they will do all that they can to enable people with MS to live life, knowing that they do not have to face MS alone.
