Payroll Transition Specialist - Preston - GBP26.83 per hour Ltd

Advantage Resourcing are recruiting a Payroll Transition Specialist to join a leading organisation in Preston. This is a contract role paying GBP26.83 per hour Ltd and the contract will run until the end of May 2015

The organisation seeks to modernise, develop and improve future HR service delivery, establishing the necessary capability of the HR service and the required technology investment. This involves implementing improved HR and Payroll processes enabled by a new HR operating model and market leading technology.
There are a number of key activities which need to take place to ensure the successful transition and transformation of our payroll service through new technology and processes. To help achieve their objectives they are looking for an experienced individual who is a strong team player who can liaise effectively within the project and externally to ensure that the payroll solution successfully transitions to the new software and is fit for purpose.

Duties include:

- Provide functional subject matter expertise particularly in relation across the payroll project:
- Detailed Design Support
- Third Party liaison
- Build Support
- Assistance in resolving interface queries
- Data, testing & integration team liaison
- Testing and Preparation
- Go-Live
- Stabilisation Support
- The post holder will be expected to contribute to/author/review project deliverables as
requested/assigned not just those relating to their area of subject matter expertise
- Liaise effectively with other workstreams
- Act as a champion of project
- Confirm the solution is fit for purpose from an SME and project team perspective
- Support the Payroll Process Owner as required
- Reviewing and recommending to the Payroll Process Owner that the solution is fit for purpose from an overall solution, compliance and functional perspective

Experience required for this role;

Payroll experience preferably in a complex payroll environment ie multi paygorups, multiple pay dates, multiple third party links (eg pensions, shares & salary sacrifice, Global Mobility, time and attendance systems).
Ideally have experience of Payroll System implementation in a complex environment.
Knowledge of Unipay or ResourceLink would be beneficial but is not essential.
