Architect / Project Manager with a background in cloud development technologies to join an expanding company based in Birmingham. Due to unprecedented demand and growth, our client’s ability to deliver breath-taking solutions needs to expand. Having established a number of medium and large customers, this company now has a brand new opening for someone who is keen to have a voice in the life-cycle of the development process. With a flat management structure, you will have the opportunity to be involved in each stage of a client’s journey and to work in collaboration with the directors.

As an Architect your duties will include:

• Having an open-minded attitude to problem solving
• Leading a number of projects to successful delivery
• Meeting customers, listening carefully and understanding their business.
• Making designs that are delivered far-beyond expectations.
• Working with and leading on/off-shore development/implementation teams.
• Providing operational support wherever and whenever required.
• Distributing client-server and n-tier systems architecture.
• Developing large scale, for the web Windows and Linux infrastructure architecture.
• Having thorough, low-level technical competency with systems and OO languages.
• Identifying and picking up new technologies and languages quickly.

An ideal Architect will hold the following skills and experiences:

• You will be degree educated and have an accomplished background in specifying, designing and bringing to life cloud-based solutions that really impress.
• Your skills will be in some of the following areas:
- Web app. servers IIS, Apache, NGINX, Tomcat, Node.js
- Web DBs MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL inc. perf. Tuning
- Public clouds RS, AWS & Azure inc. CDN/file, DB & G/NLB
- LAMP & Windows Dev. (.NET/C#/MVC)
- HTTP protocol inc. forward/rev. proxy & and RESTful API dev.
- Responsive web dev. HTML5, JS/jQuery & CSS3
- Visual Studio, SVN, Jenkins dev. Tooling
- Net basics DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalling etc.


In return you will receive a salary of £35,000 - £42,500 per annum plus uncapped bonus; £2,000 hardware and tooling allowance; and a genuine work life balance working with a fun team, working from home to suit.
