Senior Analogue Design Engineer/RF - Manchester

Analogue Design, Hardware Design Engineer, RF, Low Noise, Op-amps, Transistors, Switching power design, Pspice, schematics, PCBA, Mentor Graphics, EMC Design.

This leading, highly successful organisation are looking for a Senior/Lead Analogue Design Engineer to be involved in the Design, Development and maintenance of analogue hardware platforms for next generation products.

As a Hardware Engineer/Analogue Engineer you will have a proven track record demonstrating technical leadership in RF/Analogue design, conceptual, architectural design and development through to product realisation in support of Legacy products and next generation products.

Typically this will include and require the following skills and experience in:
* RF/Analogue Front End design
* Design of very low noise, wide band analogue stages up to 2MHz
* Linear and switching power drive designs
* Op-amp and transistor level design
* Design analysis/simulation using Pspice, or other similar tool.

As an Analogue Design Engineer/Hardware Engineer you will also be conversant with:
* Schematic and PCBA Design using Mentor or similar.
* Design for EMC
* Design for Manufacture, Assembly & Test.
* Experience of the complete product development life cycle preferably within a multidisciplinary team and in an environment using recognised development methodologies.
* Able to diagnose circuit faults on complex, multilayer PCBA.
* Programming of CPLD/FPGAs using VHDL and/or Verilog.

Successful candidates will have a Degree in Electronics or other technical related subject and achievement or en-route to achieving professional body status.

It would be desirable if candidates have experience of the following:
* Experience gained in design of equipment for production.
* Good appreciation of Intellectual Property protection and freedom to operate.
* Ability to read, digest and understanding associated technology patents in order to ensure freedom to operate.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES are as follows:
* Specify and develop hardware solutions to business requirements
* Perform hardware development to written technical specifications working within the company's quality processes.
* Perform proactive and reactive maintenance/correction of identified defects.
* Proactively manage obsolescence issues.
* Maintain watching brief on development of new technologies, techniques and methodologies.

* Seeks to identify new/alternative technologies with regard to increasing innovation within R&D
