Key Skills:

- Good IT Technical Support experience.

- Experience with managing and installing Windows 2008 Servers.

- Good Windows AD Support.

- Experience with MS Exchange Server.

- Hardware and infrastructure support experience.

- LAN / WAN support experience.

- Must have excellent verbal and written English skills.

- Must be eligible to work in the UK.

- Must live within commuting distance of Chippenham, Wiltshire or must be willing to relocate to the Wiltshire area.

Nice to have:

- MS SQL Server or MySQL support and backup / replication experience.

- Basic scripting experience.

- Knowledge of VMWare.


About the Role:

The IT Technical Support ( Windows Server 2008, MS Exchange, AD Support, LAN, WAN, SQL ) responsibilities will include the following:

- Overseeing all aspects of IT department operations including IT infrastructure, Communication (LAN, WAN, email, etc.), database and backup recovery.

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the IT service including downtime, reporting service levels, defining and tracking IT operational metrics and provide status to management.

- Ensuring high availability of critical business systems.

- Developing and managing relationships with vendors in support of staff augmentation and systems support.

- Managing overall capacity utilization of Server/hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements
