The role in a nutshell

A dynamic energetic thinking person’s role where setting high standards is paramount and understanding customers’ needs and colleague engagement is key to the success. You will be instrumental in using your extensive knowledge to monitor and analyse the KPI, constantly striving to challenge achievements and exceed expectations.

What you will be doing

You will be interacting with people every day and will have the ability to quickly build effective relationships with both colleagues and customers. You will need to be extremely well organised and demonstrate an excellent understanding of our Consultant Manager and Business Specialist processes and ensure that the CarShop Journey is correct for each customer. An analytical mind is an absolute must as you will need to understand and interpret various business reports and to take action to strive for improvement.

Excellent People skills are an essential for this role to ensure that you and the business succeed. You will need to constantly coach, motivate and guide colleagues each day to achieve their targets and to provide support and guidance to develop each individual to their maximum potential. Investment in training is imperative in the business to ensure that colleagues are developed and engaged, You will be able to integrate On the job training, classroom assessments and learning alongside e learn and video systems to ensure that learning is a constant in each colleagues day.

As second in command of a business with a turnover in excess of £50,000,000 per year, you will need to ensure that all aspects of the business are managed effectively. We expect that you will set high personal standards and that you ensure that this are communicated to your colleagues and that these standards are representative in the appearance of the store and the behaviours of all colleagues.

You will be an effective communicator with a strong ability to influence and negotiate. You will have the talent to ensure that you build relationships with your colleagues that are founded on trust and respect which in turn allows you to effectively engage and lead your team.

An analytical mind is essential to allow you to identify success and prioritise opportunities. In addition, effective time management and organisational skills are imperative attributes of the successful candidate to enable them to succeed.

You will be both resilient and consistent in your approach and be confident in challenging your team to exceed their objectives. Good levels of computer literacy are important in this role along with a confident personal style that allow you to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels

In return, this is what you can expect from us

The Position offers a generous basic salary with an eminently achievable OTE of £65,000, however, this is not capped and our top performers are earning in excess of £75,000. In addition to the salary we have a generous Company car scheme along with a private and business fuel provision and 22 days holiday per year which increases with length of service. We believe that excellent communication is essential so you will be provided with the tools of the trade in a Mobile phone and Laptop.
