Salary: Competitive + Car + Bonus + Pension
Our client is a multi-disciplinary company that incorporates construction, plant hire and rail works. Celebrating 27 years in the general construction industry, and with over 15 years’ experience of permanent way and rail related building and civil engineering projects, our client is an award winning Company and are proud to have been chosen by Network Rail as their 2014 supplier of the year. They have grown into a highly respected Company and as part of that continued growth they now have a vacancy for a full-time Estimator, ideally based from their Head Office in Carlisle, however, you can be based from Manchester, although regular travel to Carlisle would be expected.
Reporting to the Lead Estimator, you will produce high quality, commercially viable work winning tenders.
As an experienced Estimator, you will be self-motivated, practical and commercially aware and used to working under pressure and to strict deadlines. Knowledge of the Rail industry would be extremely advantageous.
In possessing good communication skills, you will interact with people at all levels within the organisation and your customer focus will enable you to engage with clients and build relationships.
Duties will include:
• Managing the tender process
• Producing winning tenders for Project Managers
• Building and maintaining effective and genuine client relationships
• Ensuring effective internal engagement and handover
