Responsibilities:
Work with payroll vendor to ensure payroll is processed timely and accurately worldwide
Ensure accurate data files are provided to payroll vendor necessary to process pay-checks, including time & attendance, stock exercises, restricted stock, relocation, H & W benefits, 401k/pension, commuter benefits, healthmiles, deferred compensation, total rewards, unclaimed property
Ensure Intuit comp & benefit programs are administered properly -employee elections are accurately reflected in our partner systems
Understand payroll laws/regulations, keep abreast of new laws, and implement processes to ensure compliance
Identify and prioritize improvements to the customer experience, as well as internal process improvements and work with appropriate internal & external partners to implement
Provide escalated customer service on employee pay-check issues related to comp & benefit programs
Provide timely & accurate information to Finance, Tax, Accounting, and other partners as necessary for month end reporting & analysis
Provide support for divestitures, acquisitions, and RIF's to ensure efficient & accurate on boarding and off boarding
Deliverables:
Worldwide support for all payroll groups in UK, Germany and France.
Ensures payroll is processed timely and accurately.
Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing (interfaces) accurately reflects company specific pay policies. (ex. ADP, MSSB, Newport, Fidelity, Hewitt, Enwisen, etc)
Coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades.
Interprets pay policies, (eg, holiday worked, on call, overtime incentive, calculation basis for deductions, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law.
Assists with internal or external audits of records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation. (SOX compliance)
Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff.
Researches and produces complex reports which may require in depth analysis
Partners closely with corporate accounting & tax to ensure accurate GL & taxes reporting
Subject matter experts in specific tools, offering or projects (ex. Primetime)
Reconcile & audit year-end documents
Constant reconciling & support for equity programs (ESPP, NQDC, MSPP, etc)
Auditing & validating time keeping system & data
Reconcile & audit Workday payroll data files (One time payments, baseline, etc)
Manual processes and workarounds as required by infrastructure
