Our client is seeking caring & kind, self-motivated, fun-loving, enthusiastic and experienced support workers ideally with NVQ/QCF Level 3 (or currently working towards QCF Level 3) to work within their Supported Living Services, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviours. You'll need to have good leadership skills and be able to work independently, using your own initiative and have particular skills in motivating others.

This is a great opportunity to join a supportive, dedicated team promoting independence and inclusion, with the focus on real change for those we support. We provide person-centred support on a 24hr basis offering various levels of support from background, to more formal support to ensure that individuals are not only managing the practical things such as their tenancies & their paying bills but just as importantly that they are active participants in their communities and are living as fulfilling a life as possible.

You'll play an integral part in supporting those we work with throughout the day, as well as in the evening and at weekends; attending to their physical and personal care needs as necessary and, where required, enabling them to undertake activities within the community. You will also be actively involved in assessing care needs, writing care plans, risk assessment and reviewing these on a regular basis ensuring the information is up to date to support the needs of the customer.

A full, clean driving licence is preferred but not essential as is a willingness to use your own car on occasions, for which you will receive a generous mileage rate.

You will be required to work shifts on a rota system and be flexible to the needs of the service, working week days, weekends, Bank Holidays with some sleep-in nights.

We provide comprehensive induction training and QCF opportunities but in return we need you to have the ability to work as part of a team, a caring attitude, be a good listener, have a sense of responsibility, to come with a positive attitude, a calm approach, a sense of humour, an appreciation of individuality and an ability to work under pressure because all of these are essential for the roles.

We are recruiting for a variety of positions and are looking at building up a bank of staff who have the same commitment and desire to provide the quality support, on a flexible basis as well.
