Electronics Quality Inspector
18K P/A
We are currently recruiting for a Warranty Engineer to work with our clients based in the Tredegar, Gwent
Working as a warranty engineer you would be required report to the Technical Support Manager. You will be required to directly support production facility in Tredegar, focused on warranty and returned products but also as an additional member of line technician team. There will be a requirement for occasional site visits either in the UK or abroad to support rectification activity as directed by the technical support manager. Must have a flexible working approach as at time extra and out of hours work and travel will be required.
Job Specification:
Day to day works will be handling and assessment of Field Returns (RMAs) establishing root cause and implementing remedial actions in line with company procedures
This role will be varied and will cover parts from producing quotes contacting companies to gain technical information understanding technical information site attendances to repair faults investigation to faulty parts and reporting testing old and new parts a like sometimes help in designing systems experience with in the lighting industry is very desirable.
Other Roles Include:
Occasionally assisting in the inspection of supplier defects, providing feedback to suppliers.
Producing reports as and when required
Testing and reporting on products
You will require the ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Experience or understanding of Production environment and Quality.
Due to vast product range an ability to grasp handle and process large volumes of information is a must.
Desirable Attributes Include:
An Understanding of Lean / Six Sigma
experience in lighting and controls systems is desirable
Electrical apprenticeship or relevant qualifications (stage experience desirable)
Testing and inspection certificate desirable
ECS or CSCS
Technical background with in electrics or electronics
Mechanical Engineering Skills
