PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As Routing Operations Specialist for the A2P Messaging Product Line, you will be part of the Global Connectivity, Pricing & Procurement team, reporting into the Senior Manager Routing Operations based in Singapore. Your role helps to save operating costs and is key to positively impact every part of the messaging business. Your work will really make a difference.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Routing Management:

  • Assuring routing optimization and system maintenance to maximize margins and ensure customer satisfaction for global clients
  • Review supplier price changes daily to maintain routing and margin efficiency
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates to routing and numbering plan tables
  • Develop routing strategy for margin maximization and long term growth

Sales Support:

  • Focal point for liaising and supporting key EMEA/US sales and their customers from enterprise & mCommerce space
  • Review client margin reports to ensure positive and protect existing margin
  • Provide route recommendations including the features and coverage reach
  • Identify effective strategies and communicate key differentiators to Sales

Vendor/Supplier Management:

  • Assist Procurement with aspects of route negotiations and performance for carriers
  • Route Quality Control:
  • Oversee route testing/quality control using third-party test systems
  • In this position you can expect to have a strong interaction with your team members across the globe as well as other areas of the business such as finance and technical departments.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

You will be educated to Degree Level and 2 to 3 years work experience. Any previous telco industry or sales/customer care experience would be beneficial, though is not essential as full training will be provided.

You will show excellent communication skills with the ability to develop strong relationships internally and externally. You will have a structured and organized approach to your work and can work autonomously. In this role it is vital to be able to perform in a virtual and global environment, as such any previous experience will be strongly beneficial.

You are required to demonstrate a good level of business acumen, with strong analytical skills where attention to detail is key. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with numbers and skilled in Microsoft Office applications, in particular MS Access and Excel. MS SQL and Visual Basic would be a plus.
