Learning Environment Assistant (fixed term contract maternity cover until June 2015)
35 hours per week, term time only contract (39 weeks per academic year)
Salary: Grade 3 £13,022 (point 12) to £14,235 (point 16) per annum – actual salary to reflect term-time working
Manchester Health Academy opened in September 2009 and is sponsored by Central Manchester NHS Foundation Trust with Manchester City Council and as a co-sponsor. In September 2010 the Academy moved into a £20 million state-of-the-art building and is now amongst the most popular schools in the city, showing significant academic improvement a rapidly expanding student population and growing sixth form provision.

Due to maternity leave we currently have a temporary opportunity for a creative person to take responsibility for the displays around the Academy to create a positive, stimulating and well organised learning environment. Under the direction of the Business and Marketing Manager the post holder would provide support for Academy activities within and outside the organisation. The post holder would also work closely with the Marketing Officer and Administration staff in the ordering of promotional and marketing materials and also ensure that appropriate resources are available to meet teachers and student’s needs; including ensuring adequate supplies of core materials such as photocopies, text books and stationery are available. The post-holder will also be required to supervise students at break and lunch times as requested, and accompany teachers on external educational/sporting trips and visits, as and when required.

The role will be subject to completion of a successful 6 month probationary period.
