8 foster carers needed in expanding team!

This national children's charity is offering excellent opportunities for 8 brand new Foster Carers in and around the Coventry area.

If you have a spare bedroom, enjoy being around young people and would like to join a friendly team that changes the long term future of children in their care, then they want to talk to you. They are looking for people who are understanding, resilient and can develop trusting relationships with children who have had traumatic experiences and may have had a number of moves in care.

Work for a not for profit organisation, that always puts the child's needs first and receive:
* Outstanding support and around the clock support
* Extensive training and development including NVQ qualifications
* Up to £420 to £1261 in fees and allowances per week during placements (depending on the type of care) plus additional tax benefits
* Paid planned breaks

To become a Foster Carer you will need to possess the following:
* Experience of working with or caring for children - this could be through family contact, being a parent, volunteering or employment
* A spare bedroom in your home and be over the age of 21 (in some circumstances this might be higher)
* Energy, commitment, willingness to learn and ability to see behind behaviour
* The ability to care for a child full time in your own home and able to prioritise fostering over any other roles (if you are considering part time - there might be opportunities too)

This fostering organisation works with over 50,000 children and young people and runs 600 services across the UK. They tackle issues such as child neglect and abuse whilst offering a range of innovative services to children in care, disabled children, young people and families. There is a huge shortage of Foster Carers in the UK, and this organisation is recruiting carers to help give children and young people the care and support they need to thrive in a family home environment.
