Our clients include many of the most prestigious institutions in the banking, insurance and investment management sectors, based in Edinburgh and beyond.
 

We now have an opportunity for individuals to join our FS practice at Senior Associate level.


 

About the role

 

You will work as part of a team providing audit and non-audit services across the banking, insurance and investment management sectors.  This will involve the provision of services to a portfolio of audit clients, covering both internal and external audit clients.  Tasks will include managing the staffing of the job, the financial performance and ensuring that key deadlines are achieved. 

A key aspect will be managing work undertaken in connection with internal and external audit reviews, reporting directly to a manager or director.  Other important responsibilities will include:

Attending internal and external team and client meetings.
Interviews with key client contacts throughout the delivery process.



 

Requirements

 

We are seeking candidates with the following skills and qualifications:

CA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
Experience of working with IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP
Experience of management of the audit from planning to supervision and review of the process
Audit management experience within the Financial Services industry including training and staff development
Flexibility in your approach to meeting goals as part of the team
Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients at all levels
A proven track record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships
A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering client solutions


It is essential that candidates have experience of working on audits within a financial services client base.  You will have experience of interacting with senior level clients and management to develop and maintain business relationships, principally in the areas of Investment and fund management, Insurance and banking services.  Experience of financial reporting and in particular SAS 70, IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP, SOX and international standards on auditing would be required.
