We've got a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Manager to join the Engineering team at our Bakery in Wakefield. Reporting to the General Manager, you will work closely with the Production Managers to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is planned in advance to avoid production disruption.

Our Site Engineering Managers do the following:

> Promote and ensure safe working practices at all times

> Attainment of Production plan on a daily basis within planned hours and planned manning levels.

> Achieving daily customer service levels around external and internal customer requirements.

> Engineering budget control and appropriate investments to drive continual improvement.

> Colleague engagement scores and staff turnover levels.

> Delivery of CI culture within engineering function.

> Cross functional and peer group involvement and feedback with regard engineering function within site

> Adherence to planned and routine maintenance schedules and all engineering asset management routines that will drive site performance.

What do I need to be a successful Engineering Manager?

> The ideal candidate will ideally be of graduate calibre or equivalent with proven experience of developing and leading a strong performing engineering function.

> Previous experience working in Manufacturing / FMCG or a similar fast paced, commercially focused environment would be beneficial.

> Change management experience and a professional understanding of implementing CI techniques along with great decision making skills will be seen as a huge benefit in your application.

> A strong ability to challenge, influence and motivate at all levels.

> Excellent communication skills and a proven track record of coaching, motivating and engaging a team: demonstrating assertiveness and decision making skills and have a can do attitude to your work.
