Our client seeks a Business Development Manager to join their expanding Commercial Energy Efficiency Solutions team. This is a new role that has been created due to growth. Reporting into the Commercial Business Manager, the purpose of the role is to provide support in delivering energy efficiency solution projects to clients in the public and private sector space.

In addition, there will be overall responsibility for building a strong pipeline of key client relationships in order to secure business through gaining new customers and repeat business. The goal is to create business opportunities, developing and maintaining long term client relationships.

Key areas of responsibility
  • Selling energy efficiency and renewable energy funded products and services to customers
  • Preparing tender documentation
  • Working with the Bid Team on proposals
  • Producing sales reports and accurate records of customer communications
  • Key Account Management
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in an Energy/Building related field
  • Previous experience in the renewable energy/energy efficiency sector
  • Understanding of energy flows and uses for a range of public and private sector organisations, such as hospitals, schools, offices, leisure centres as well as industrial manufacturing facilities
  • Excellent understanding of the Renewable Energy Sector
  • Excellent communication skills
This opportunity is field based with travel throughout the UK on a regular basis and so a full driving license is essential. Candidates based in the South of England would be preferred. The salary is GBP40,000-GBP55,000 base (depending on experience), a car allowance or company car will be provided as well as a generous commission scheme.
