Position: Personal Injury Claims Handler

Location: Southport

Salary: £15,000 – £17,500 + Bonus (to be discussed at interview stage)

Our Client is an established firm who are looking for exceptional Personal Injury Claims Handlers to join their team. This firm is expanding and has seen healthy growth over the recent months. 

They can provide successful applicants with a competitive salary and development within a reputable firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients via telephone to extract correct information about their claim.
  • Discuss funding arrangements with the client and client insurers.
  • Analyse evidence in order to assess liability prospects and quantum.
  • Ensure clients are kept fully informed at all times.
  • Prepare, complete and file complex documents.
  • Liaise with third party representatives, witnesses, experts and referral sources.
  • Arrange rehabilitation for injured clients.
  • Collate evidence in support of financial losses and injury.
  • Submit evidence to the third party representatives and negotiate settlement.
  • Issue Part 7 and Part 8 Court Proceedings and where required progress the claim through the litigation process and ultimately to Trial
  • Pursue claims via the MOJ portal, stage 1,2 and 3 where required.

Ability to manage own targets in respect of outcome and acting in the best result for your clients
Reporting to the department manager with the ability to work alone whilst becoming a key team member within the Personal Injury team

Skills

  • Must have experience of the MOJ Portal
  • Must have experience within Credit Hire
  • Must have Pre and Post Litigation Experience
  • Excellent academic background and or achievements from a proven track record
  • Ability to build relationships for new business development and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Also key to this role is the ability to work to tight deadlines, good computer and keyboard skills and the ability to prioritise and organise your workload.
