Design Analysis - NGDYN, VALDYN, ADAMS, valvetrain, cranktrain

Our client is a leading Multi disciplined consultancy has an urgent requirement for Design Analysis Engineer. The role of the Engineer will be to provide mechanical analysis support to design and development projects as well as the production of high quality innovative mechanical analysis using classical design analysis techniques and liaising with internal and external clients at all levels to deliver updates, design recommendations and analysis results.

Successful candidates will also have the following skills and experience;

Management of own tasks to time, quality and cost
Maintain awareness of and drive development of industry leading mechanical analysis methods and technologies
Preparation and maintenance of process documentation associated with the analysis process
Preparation of detailed technical presentations for both internal and client project engineering review
Degree qualified in mechanical, aeronautical or automotive engineering
Minimum 3 years experience of research and development, preferably in a commercial environment
Application experience of analysis of engine components, eg valvetrain, cranktrain, connecting rod, using hand calculations or multi-body dynamics tools
Commercial experience of commercial analysis codes (eg ENGDYN, VALDYN, ADAMS)
In depth theoretical knowledge of mechanical engineering and physics
Knowledge of diesel, gasoline and gas engines would be highly advantageous
