Software Engineer, Broadcast/Set Top Box London

Experienced embedded software engineers to join a highly skilled team developing innovative solutions for a range of IP connected devices including HDTVs and DVB STBs.
As Principal Software Engineer you will design, develop and maintain STB middleware software
Essential Skills: C/C++ coding, Linux, embedded platforms (for DVB/IPTV/STB's), DVB (T/S/C)
Beneficial Skills: ISDB, ATSC, TCP/IP, Multicast, HTML, JavaScript, IPC, Agile
Essential Experience:
Embedded software development for IP / broadcast Set Top Boxes
Knowledge of Linux for embedded devices and at least one other operating system
Familiarity with broadcast technologies such as DVB-T, DVB-S, DVB-C
A BSc/BEng degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
Commercial programming experience in ANSI C
Commercial programming experience in C++
Ability to write and review technical designs and documentation
Source management, make files, regression testing
Beneficial Experience:
Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, XML and other web technologies
Knowledge of ARM or MIPS processors
TCP/IP experience at socket programming level
Experience of working on prototype hardware, utilising schematics
Familiarity with broadcast and video streaming technologies such as DVB, IPTV, OTT, RTP, MPEG-2 TS, MPEG-4 and multicast
Experience of working with CAS or DRM technologies
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience in using software quality analysis tools and improving code quality
