Our client owns and manages over 9,500 properties in Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

They are currently seeking a Service Desk Administrator to join their Information Team in Yeovil, Somerset. The main purpose of this role is to provide 1st line technical and application support to end users including those based at remote site locations. Within this role your main responsibilities will include all first line support including installation and commissioning hardware and software, dealing with file transfers, security procedures and back-ups and purchasing equipment, services, software, consumables, telephones, mobile phones and peripherals. You will also be expected to assist in the administration of the telephone system, impart technical information in a way that users can understand and ensure that IT managers are kept informed of progress on workloads.

The successful candidate will have worked within a similar role previously and will have a good standard of general education. You will also ideally hold a recognised IT qualification, have experience of working on an IT Service Desk and have the ability to work with Citrix and write SQL, although this is not essential. You must be an excellent communicator and flexible in your approach with good analytical skills as well as being well presented, easily understood when communicating technical subjects and having the ability to influence others. You should have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes as well as being patient, level headed and able to work to deadlines and prioritise effectively.
