Our Major Telecoms client requires a Contract Manager for the London area.

Role purpose:

* Manage key strategic supplier relationship.
* Manage individual mission critical contract with value of GBP400m
* Create and drive strategic vendor strategy.

Key Responsibilities

* Track performance of supplier against the contract on key contractual measures and ensuring that the supplier delivers on all fronts.
* Manage key stakeholders to ensure consistent approach to supplier and ensure all information is sourced concerning supplier performance and fed into governance structures.
* Ensure Contractual Governance/Approval mechanisms are applied.
* Ownership of resolution of all contractual disputes.
* Lead all governance meetings in line with the contract and ensure actions delivered upon.
* Ensure all contract costs are tracked - Opex and Capex - ensuring clear communication with Finance teams within the business and shareholders where required.
* Contract change note negotiations as appropriate ensuring you represent the strategic requirements of the business and shareholders.
* Extract maximum value from the contract and drive continuous improvement of supplier performance
* Must have a good understanding of finance and the ability to relate finance principles with contract terms.
* Working closely with technical directors (Operations, Technical etc) to ensure contract/supplier delivery accurately reflect the business requirements.
* Ability to influence technical directors (Operations, Technical etc)
* Legal - work hand in hand with legal team as appropriate
* Finance - to ensure that contract costs are captured accurately for budgeting and forecasting purposes. Also, to provide assurance that all billed services are accurate and in line with the contract.

External suppliers:
Account/Contract Directors - as part of ongoing relationship and any contract negotiation or dispute resolution negotiations.

Must Have
* Strong commercial experience
* Strong influencing and negotiation skills
* First class supplier management skills and experience
* Strong contract management skills and experience
* Excellent communicator at all levels in an organisation across a variety of disciplines, legal, engineering, finance and procurement.
* Good understanding of contract law
* Understanding of telecoms industry and supply base

Nice to have:
* Degree and/or procurement/contract management professional qualification.
* Understanding of Balance Sheet and P&L principles
