Senior Designer (SO)

You love the web. You are passionate about design, about form and function, and able to deliver to tight deadlines. Working with Front End developers, other designers and UX to produce a consistent and engaging user experience for desktop, tablet and mobile. You will work within a fast paced agile and collaborative environment. Your core skills are sketching, design, hand-coded HTML and CSS and rapid prototyping. Your ability to mentor and lead others within the design community will be essential to ensure we build and deliver fantastic digital services to our customers.
For this role you will need:
- A passion for all things web and digital;
- Design using hand-coded HTML and CSS;
- Ability to create superior, original designs for the Web and digital products;
- Strong design style, including creative design solutions within constraints of the Internet;
- Strong conceptual skills, including online software concepts and online experience concept;
- Solid understanding of client deliverables, and ability to take responsibility for them;
- Strong technical knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript;
- Mentor and develop other designers, aid in leading the design community;
- Ability to design the look/feel of web pages, landing pages and other creative assets;
- Excellent understanding of producing designs and products based on customer and user research and feedback. With solid understanding of user cantered design principles;
- Design experience for mobile and tablet is essential;
- Fluency in current graphic design practices and web production and UX tools software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Axure is beneficial to this role;
- Experience of working in a fast paced agile environment highly beneficial.
