Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a vibrant school near Guildford, last Ofsted rating Good with Outstanding features, to appoint an English Expert responsible for the English teaching across all year groups in the school (Reception to Year 6) from September 2014 on a long term contract or permanent basis. The school is a very special and exciting place to work, with a very modern approach to learning, high aspirations and excellent achievement

Main responsibilities of role

* Lead English across the school.
* Have overall responsibility and accountability for your TLR area ensuring curriculum
continuity, consistency, balance, match and progression
* Lead regular meetings relevant to your TLR area with appropriate colleagues
* Develop, demonstrate and/or promote teaching and learning activities appropriate to
full age and ability range.
* Teach English across the school through team teaching with class teachers, teaching
individuals and groups of learning, teaching exemplary lessons for staff development
and teaching classes English across the school.
* For a full time appointment to this post, it is likely that the Headteacher may request the post holder to occasionally teach some other subjects as part of the PPA cover for staff. This post is a non class based and the post holder will teach English throughout the school.
