Payroll Support Analyst

Payroll Support Analyst is sought by key financial services client based in the Gatwick area. This role involves new client implementations and development and support of both core systems and client specific processes.
This is a challenging and exciting role for an IT specialist with a payroll bias to work within a growing and dynamic organisation, ensuring that their suite of services meet with exacting client requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
* Analysis of payroll requirements from an outline of user requirements or from a more detailed feasibility study
* Analysis of payroll problems and issues reported by clients, providing support to agreed SLA
* First line payroll support for hosted/own-site clients
* Second line payroll support for 3rd party administration clients using the software systems alongside bespoke payroll administration workflows
* Product and bespoke software support and development
* Work with the Product Development department to investigate and rectify product faults and test any corrections
* Co-ordinate releases of product and bespoke software to hosted and own-site clients
* Maintain helpdesk entries throughout the life cycle of reported incidents
* Requirement, Build & Technical Design Definition
* Undertake testing and test planning
* Analyse changes and enhancements to client's payrolls, taking a view of their impact on software as installed for the Client
* Accurately estimate and plan deliverables
Key Requirements:
* IT, accounting or payroll qualification
* 3-5 years of payroll administration and/or payroll management experience or 3-5 years business and systems analysis working on payroll systems
* Client facing experience
* HMRC UK PAYE payroll knowledge (at least 1 year experience)
* Pension annuities payment knowledge (at least 1 year experience)
* Some understanding of payroll accounting
* Understanding of software development life cycle
* Systems and support analysis skills (experience in a support role is desirable)
* Experience in software tools/programming languages required. SQL Server, Microsoft Office and Oracle skills desirable
* (at least 2 years' experience of Microsoft tools is required)
* Approachable and responsive to colleagues and users
* Demonstrate effective and probing appraisal of situations. Consult with relevant parties in resolving issues (a qualification in analysis would be desirable)
* Ability to design and execute tests of software and process developments (a qualification in testing would be desirable)
