An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Director to join an expanding company that specialises in integrated hard and soft facilities management and specialist support services for secure and critical environments. They design and operate facilities and provide management services to both the public and private sector.

This role is home based with national travel.

As a Business Development Director your duties will be to:

• Identify and maintain a pipeline of opportunities and lead the business development process for Technical Services, ensuring that all stages of the bid remain on target, to deliver expected benefits with maximum possible margins.
• Ensure bids are submitted in a timely manner, ensuring that each bid meets the company requirements and client specifications.
• Establishing and developing excellent relationships is key to this role and you must liaise with Commercial Managers in the preparation of pre-submission documents, ensure the bid meets strategic objectives, cost data is current, benchmarks are in place and efficiency drives are enhancing the work winning capability.
• Be responsible for generating new leads, developing client relationships and subsequent preparation and delivery of both pre-qualification and tender documents.
• Oversee new business, ensuring it is mobilised in line with agreed financial and quality standards.

An ideal Business Development Director will hold the following skills and experiences:

• Have strong Commercial experience, existing relationships within Facilities Management and can join the business with extensive knowledge and experience.
• Significant experience within the FM outsourcing market, particularly within Healthcare, Education and Custodial.
• Well-developed communication, influencing and motivational skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to customers.
• Experience of, and background in, Project construction works would also be a benefit.

In return you will receive a salary of £75,000 - £90,000 per annum plus 5 weeks annual leave, company car or allowance, contributory pension, annual bonus, childcare vouchers, Employee Care Scheme & Best Doctors and other excellent benefits.
