Our client is looking to recruit a Technical Supervisor at their Boston site on a permanent basis, working a two shift rotational pattern. PThe main remit of this role is to ensure high quality standard of raw material and finished frozen bulk product is achieved at all times whilst ensuring food safety and optimum quality is sustained. The successful candidate will work alongside operational teams reporting to the Technical Department, ensuring due diligence is undertaken at all times.

To be considered for the post, you will demonstrate that you are able to meet the following essential criteria:

· Knowledge of frozen product
· Ability to quality-check frozen product
· Excellent understanding of Quality Assurance Principles
· Demonstrable auditing skills
· In-depth knowledge of HACCP
· General understanding of microbiology
· Experience in aesthetic swabbing
· Understanding of commercial, operational, health & safety and engineering processes
· Team player with excellent communication and people skills
· Impeccable attention to detail
· Ability to handle high levels of pressure and make rapid and balanced decisions
· Supervisory experience
· Sound IT skills


The role:

. Collate and interpret micro results to measure food safety standards and offer solutions for improvements
. Action daily checks to include riddle sizes, ex blancher, freezer, temperature probes and scales
. Ensure documented work instructions are adhered to
. Collate and file paperwork appropriately and methodically
. Support the goods-in department
. Control pesticide sampling
. Process environmental, micro and hand swabs
. Ensure all crates are clean prior to use
. Ensure all staff are placing liners in crates and all product is covered
. Verify Guaicol and Peroxidase checks
. Prepare KPI's to include GMP score; RAG %; HPT amount
. Undertake weekly and monthly audits
. Provide reviews of the previous days performance, including food safety and food quality KPI's, at daily PDR meetings
. Any other ad hoc duties as required by the Technical Department

Salary is circa £22,000, increasing to £23,000 on successful completion of probationary period and training.
