Lead / senior magnetics design engineer - transformers and power electronics - Gloucester

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader in transformer technology and work within a design and development team who are working on next-generation technologies for Automotive, Telecommunications and Medical applications.

As the lead design Engineer, you will not only work on the design of magnetic for bespoke electronics, power supplies and transformer technologies for customer specific requirements, but also attend customer design meetings and trade exhibitions to represent the company and interface with other industry professionals. You will also collaborate with an offshore internal design team on design tasks and projects using the latest communication technologies.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified in Electronics or a related degree and have at least 4 years of Power Electronics, Power Supply or Magnetics Design experience

This vacancy has opened up due to retirement.

Essential skills:
* Electronics Design
* Magnetics knowledge
* Strong communication skills
* Fluent English - written and spoken

Additional non-essential, desirable skills include:
* Mathcad
* PCB design
* Solid Works
* Transformer design simulation software

These offices are commutable from Gloucester, Oxford, Bristol and the surrounding areas.
