Software Engineer - Essex - Labview, C/C++

Skilled Software Engineer with extensive experience of C programming and Labview targeting real time Windows embedded platforms is now required in Essex.

The successful Software Engineer will lead a team of software engineers in the development of future industrial control systems. Within this role, the Software Engineer will have the capability to design leading edge products using the latest techniques and technologies.

The Software Engineer will focus primarily on the control and communications (TCP/IP) infrastructure employed within high power Radio Frequency (RF) systems. This will involve detailed design (architecture development) and implementation of C code for the target application. Whilst working within a close software development team the Software Engineer role will entail developing modular code for a larger application so software and documentation version control is paramount.

Applicants must be suitably qualified with:

Extensive knowledge of C programming and the Visual Studio environment.
Extensive knowledge of graphical programming environments (LabView).
Experience of Windows embedded real time system development.
Fluent understanding of TCP/IP protocols and ability to implement within the C and LabView languages.
Proven capability to design complex software control systems using components targeted at industrial environments.
Appreciation of software development cycles, from concept, through design, to final test.
Experience of coding to MISRA standards for C and eliminating MISRA violations.
Creating test programs, test procedures and test cases for evaluating and verifying code.
Proven experience of leading a team.

Desirable skills;
PLC programming techniques using a structured text format.
