Infrastructure Architect/Dev Opps Engineer

We are looking for a strong Infrastructure Architect with exposure to open source web based technologies. Our development environment is complex including Clojure, Java and Ruby to deliver successful Client projects, including enhancements to the Spree Commerce.  The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Jenkins, Chef, NGINX and Mongo.DB and be able to support our automated deployment process whilst managing the full technology stack and multiple cloud based environments.  

This is a key role working for an eCommerce Digital Agency responsible for the delivery and support of a large number of high profile eCommerce applications which require someone of excellent technical ability looking to make their mark in a diverse and expanding team.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Experience:

• Full project life cycle experience in delivering complex, high volume applications preferably Internet based
• Solid Chef/Puppet maintenance experience, 18 months+
• Strong experience of automated deployment software, such as Jenkins, 18 months+
• Experience with NGINX  high-performance HTTP server and reverse Proxy
• Strong DB administration skills with a working knowledge of Mongo.DB skills, exposure to MySQL
• Comfortable working hand in hand with client Solutions Architect
• Experience of working in an Agile (Scrum, TDD) and Devops environment
• Hands-on experience with Unix based systems including Perl and bash Scripting
• Experience of Linux operating systems within a cloud based environment
• Continuous integration using Jenkins and deployment related Scripting

Preferred experience:

• Experience of  Ruby, Java and Clojure is welcomed
• In a J2EE development is welcomed
• Previous experience of E-commerce solutions highly desired
• Experience or knowledge of Jmeter performance testing suite and advantage
• Spree Commerce
• Production and Development experience
