Sub-contract Ledger Administrator
Carlisle
Our client is an award winning, home builder based in Carlisle. Renowned for Quality and high specification, they are experiencing a strong period of success and are looking to expand their team to help achieve their future growth strategy.
Our client is now looking for an experienced Sub-Contract Ledger Administrator to work as part of a small enthusiastic finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a full time position based at our clients Carlisle Head Office.
Demonstrable working knowledge of Sub-contract Ledger gained in a Finance Department or similar is essential and experience of the CIS scheme and working in the housebuilding industry would be extremely advantageous.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
• Maintaining an up to date sub-contractor ledger
• Managing and maintaining an up to date approved supplier register (ASR) to ensure all suppliers meet compliance requirements
• Processing sub-contractor payments
• Producing accurate CIS payment figures for approval and submitting CIS returns
• Purchase Ledger duties as required
• Any other associated duties required to ensure the efficient running of the Accounts function.
Key Skills:
• Able to work quickly and accurately
• Proficient IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of HMRC and CIS legislation
• Good understanding of required certificates, insurances, public liability requirements.
• Flexible to changing priorities and workloads
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A completer-finisher who is used to working under pressure to tight deadlines
• Be a team player
• Able to deal with all supplier and internal customer queries in a professional and helpful manner
