Position: Service Workshop Engineer

Location: Solihull, B91 2SU

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 DOE

Our client are looking for a time served Workshop Engineer to join their team. You will ideally have an engineering apprenticeship or equivalent and have the ability to read and follow drawings.

Who are we looking for?

As an experienced engineer you will have excellent fault finding skills and have the ability to work under pressure. You will be able to weld and fabricate and be comfortable working in confined spaces and at height.

You will also have some but not all of the following qualities:

Knowledge of Vehicle Electrics
Knowledge of Pneumatics
Knowledge of Hydraulics
General Mechanical Skills
Knowledge of commercial vehicles or agricultural machines would be beneficial
A full UK driving licence
Ability to use own initiative

About the role:

The ideal person will strive to maintain a clean and organised work area at all times and make sure that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to consistently.

The role will include: -

Servicing vehicles both Whale and Non Whale
Repairs to vehicles both Whale and Non Whale
Tank testing once trained
Completion of all paperwork in a timely manner
Identifying opportunities for additional work and reporting this
