Project Engineer (Safety)

We are seeking individuals who have some exposure or interest in the field of Product Safety Engineering and want to further grow their knowledge and experience in this area. Join as a Project Engineer and you'll find we offer a wealth of career options and training.

Options for successful applicants could involve supporting the development of the Product Safety rationales for the first major upgrade to the Spearfish Torpedo, the front line heavy weight torpedo in use by the Royal Navy.

As a Project Engineer you will be expected to hold, as a minimum, the following qualifications and competencies:

Engineering qualification, BSc or BEng in relevant discipline Product Safety experience is not essential; however it would be highly beneficial to have some understanding.

Most importantly we are seeking engineers with the right behaviours, drive and willingness to learn and adapt. We are prepared to grow you into a Product Safety Engineer through training and on-the-job work experience.

As a Project Engineer you will ideally possess all or some of the following:

An understanding of: Hazard Logs, Hazard Identification, Safety Cases, Fault Tree Analysis

Knowledge of Def Stan 00-56, JSP430, SSMO, JSP520, JSP418, POEMS

Salary:

We are offering a salary starting from GBP35,000, this can be negotiated for the right candidate
