Financial Processes Workstream Leader

Our client based in Edinburgh are looking for a Financial Processes Workstream Leader to join their team on an initial 6 month contract which is paying up to GBP225 per day Ltd rate.

The Tax Administration Programme is a programme of work to create the administrative capacity required to start collecting two forms of taxes with the programme comprising a number of projects and workstreams. One of these is the Financial Processes workstream which is required to define the flow of revenue for the two devolved taxes, as well as more complex transactions in terms of interest charges and repayments. The client also requires to understand the monitoring and reporting requirements at each stage in these processes. The Interim Manager will be expected to provide a description of the accounts and financial processes required by the end March and the system requirements and a statement of requirements for monitoring and reporting by the end April.

Essential Skills:
*CCAB accountant or equivalent with experience of finance system specification, design and implementation

Desirable Skills:
*Project and programme management skills
*Experience in tax work
*Experience of Oracle E-business suite

Please note that whilst the role is based in Edinburgh there will likely be requirement for regular travel to Glasgow, Stirling or North Lanarkshire. The role may require occasional travel to Birmingham or London.

Candidates must be eligible for basic UK security clearance, holding a valid Disclosure Scotland certificate preferred.
