We’re looking for a positive and motivated individual to join Age Cymru (the force combining Age Concern Cymru and Help the Aged in Wales). As the only Wales based national charity devoted to addressing all the issues affecting older people in Wales, this is an opportunity to join at an exciting and challenging time. This post is based at our office off Ocean Way in Cardiff.
cARTrefu Project Coordinator
£16,490 per annum • 28 hours per week • Fixed term for 2 years
Cartrefu means ‘to reside’ in Welsh. The cARTrefu project is being delivered by Age Cymru and is jointly funded by the Baring Foundation and Arts Council Wales. The project’s aims are to improve the quality and provision of arts in care settings and mentor artists to deliver arts based sessions to residents and staff.
You will be required to support the delivery of the project across Wales. The post will involve co-ordinating the work of all project mentors and artists, supporting the recruitment of and maintaining strong working relationships with care homes and co-ordinating relationships with project funders.
You will have experience of working in an art or care environment with a confident and positive approach to handling interaction with others, excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of organisational and co-ordination skills.
