A terrific opportunity has arisen for an individual with expertise in Systems Analysis to be involved in key transformation projects within Change and IT. Within the role you will be required to define requirements and solutions in line with business requirements to ensure that the systems delivered effectively support the business function.
Key Responsibilities include
- Point of contact to resolve System-based questions and assumptions.
- Analyse and document system changes for a given project.
- Specify and model system processes and interactions.
- Specify and model changes to tables, schemas and entity relationships.
- Provide detailed information on current processes and procedures.
- Use systems expertise to help satisfy business requirements.
- Test planning, support and execution.
- Champion system and development process improvements.
- Influence stakeholders in determining the best way forward on a given project.
- Work closely with developers to support the whole project life cycle.
- Identify and manage technical dependencies across teams.
Key Outputs
- Undertake analysis of a range of data sources to produce options and recommendations for a workable solution and drive action from key decision makers.
- Gather and validate relevant information either through facilitating workshops or other forms of direct engagement with stakeholders.
- Present findings and recommendations to key stakeholder groups to support decision making.
- Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
- Identify and manage risks and ensure appropriate controls are in place to demonstrate adherence to the relevant governance framework.
- Investigate and implement new analysis techniques to improve overall quality of analysis and effectiveness of solutions recommended.
- If required, design test planning and execution to ensure adequate coverage while taking into account targeted/efficient testing.
- Outline system specifications produced, to support build process.
- Documentation: Application Impact Analysis document and estimates of varying levels of confidence.
- Change request assessment.
- New initiative assessment: assess whether application team needs to be involved.
- Knowledge gathering and transfer to 3rd parties/sourcing partners.
Authorisation & Limitations
- No budget or people management responsibility although required to provide and adhere to estimates.
- Required to work as part of a team and manage own workload, escalating where required.
- Required to work within the parameters of the agreed scope of work.
- Will escalate issues that have a high impact to the appropriate manager using the established governance frameworks.
- Required to work within the defined governance frameworks eg the Change Process.
- Typically reports to a Delivery Service Manager. May take direction from a senior or work alone.
- Influences within own team, and Application Centre.
- Decisions influence success of projects and team objectives.
- Builds relationships with IT and Change colleagues, business contacts and software suppliers.
- Will contribute to recommended solutions.
- Selects appropriately from applicable standards, methods, and tools
