Senior SMPS Design Engineer - Bristol

Commutable from Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Swindon and Gloucester, this market leading company is looking for a Senior SMPS Design Engineer to join their established team based near Bristol.

The role:

You will play a vital role in the company: developing Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS), both hardware and firmware, using state of the art components for use in next generation products. You will be working on exciting new projects in a team environment and as a Senior Engineer, you will also be involved in managing the day to day activities of Junior Engineers and technicians.

Essential skills:
5 years or more post-graduate industry experience working in SMPS design
Analogue Electronics
PWM
PFC
DC/DC
Quasi-resonant and resonant topologies
Magnetics design
Control theory
Analogue Electronics
Power Electronics

Experience in microprocessors and DSP firmware is extremely desirable, but not essential.

You must speak fluent English and have strong verbal and written communication skills as this is a real team environment.

£45,000 competitive salary + 25 days holiday
37.5 hours Monday - Friday - flexitime
