About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a Junior Data Warehouse Developer to join our team based in Weymouth.  As Junior Data Warehouse Developer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and supporting data integration solutions within the Business Intelligence team and throughout New Look as appropriate.

Any experience or knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts would be an advantage, but full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing sustainable solutions based on either solution design documents or user requirements as appropriate
• Implements new systems and current system enhancements using techniques that meet accepted development standards
• Investigates and resolves any production data conflicts and reconciles these back to the source application
• Performing unit, integration, volume/performance, system, end to end and acceptance testing as appropriate
• Creation and maintenance of batch schedules and dependencies
• Is expected to adhere to the people and customer commitments charter

Experience & Skills

• Strong numeracy and analytic skills - Essential
• SQL both DML advanced & DDL basics
• Problem escalation and resolution
• Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts - Desirable
• Awareness of ETL concepts - Desirable
• Broad understanding of BI technologies - Desirable
• Exposure to developing and maintaining database solutions - Desirable
• Awareness of Business Intelligence toolsets (IBM IIS, Oracle ODI) - Desirable
• Awareness of Dimensional modelling techniques - Desirable
