This is an excellent opportunity for a SAP Developer (SAP, Developer, Development) to join the Hampshire IT team and lead the development and management of specialist IT services and solutions.
Your role
You will be responsible for providing specialist input into specific elements of our IT strategy, to ensure we're responding to current and future business needs, based on industry technology trends.
Your role will involve managing a range of services in line with our IT strategy and any organisational changes. You'll be tasked with resolving complex IT technical and business issues across a number of areas and technologies; managing projects and maintaining customer relationships; building trust and confidence through our services, and creating or managing procedures and projects to support our processes. You'll also be required to manage resources and forge relationships with suppliers.
Your skills
A self-motivated forward thinker and excellent communicator, you'll have significant experience within an IT environment and ideally some experience leading a small team. You'll be aware of public service provisions and key issues in local government and have demonstrable portfolio and project management, analytical and decision making and financial and business management skills.
Your extensive IT skills will include: ABAP, OO ABAP, Smartforms, SapScript, Data Dictionary, Interfaces, Enhancements, Dialog programming, Report writing, Debugging, SAP Marketplace interaction, technical specification writing and testing. Other desirable skills include: SAPU15/Portal Development, HR ABAP. You will also be keen to develop new skills and have the ability to coach and mentor others.
