A Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor is required to join a specialist consultancy providing contract and commercial support to the utility, energy and construction sectors.
You will require to have at least a 2:1 degree in Quantity Surveying.
Your initial role will be a secondment to one of the "Big 6" energy companies to provide support in relation to framework contracts with their key suppliers and contractors. You will be working alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor and this is an ideal opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a booming sector with a multi-billion pound investment planned over the next seven years.
You will be expected to have an awareness of the standard forms of contract commonly used in the industry, including NEC and FIDIC. You should also be an intermediate user of MS Excel and be able to analyse large volumes of data and prepare reports using pivot tables and other similar techniques.
Personal skills are equally important as you will be working part of a larger team. You will require to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to present your written work logically and clearly with appropriate attention to detail.
Whilst the role is based in Liverpool, you will require your own car as you will be expected to travel to various sites within the region.
To apply please ensure you include a covering letter within your CV outlining why you should be considered for the role.
