Our client has been established for more than 35 years and is recognised as a global market leader in the manufacture of a range of pipes, fittings and associated equipment for supply throughout the world to the Petrochem industry. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced mechanically biased production professional to complement their established and successful team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with producing engineering drawings using Autocad (although experience of other platforms could prove advantageous) and utilising conventional engineering measuring equipment whilst performing associated technical calculations, and will essentially demonstrate the ability to read and understand complex engineering specifications.

You will assist where necessary with production control and production scheduling tasks and will work closely with the Quality department on quality, inspection or technical issues as required, so previous knowledge and experience of working to ISO9000 standards is essential for the position. Additionally, as the company have four key production disciplines (fabrication, welding, hydraulic presswork and the machine shop that includes CNC lathes), previous experience of working in a similar environment is preferable.

To be considered for this varied and challenging role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be educated to at least ONC/HNC standard and will have successfully completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship, and will demonstrate at least 3 years' experience of working in a comparable tool making or relevant production engineering environment.
