Business Continuity Manager - IT (Investment Banking)

We are looking Business Continuity Manager with a demonstrable background in business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management activities, ideally in a finance/investment bank environment.

The role supports the business continuity, disaster recovery and crisis management activities in the UK. Working with the regional teams to ensure meeting its policy and regulatory obligations, collaborating with business aligned teams to ensure timely and consistent delivery of objectives.

 The role involves:

• Coordination of Business Continuity life cycle planning and testing for the IT group, 
• Support  IT Crisis Management Plan development, implementation, training and exercising
• Maintaining issues, risk and action logs
• Support the monthly status reporting process
• Ad hoc administrative support
• Excellent Excel skills needed.
• Ensuring that all business continuity planning and testing complies with regulatory Policy requirements
• Providing consulting and support to Plan owners and maintainers
• The coordination of business continuity life cycle planning for the IT groups,
• Project and program management
• Status reporting
• IT crisis management, development, implementation, training and exercising
• Project, technical and administrative support for the regional offices testing program including departmental plans, system and data centre failover testing and crisis management.
• Management and oversight of risk and escalation to appropriate governance forums.

The suitable candidate will:

• Have at least 3 years BCM experience, gained primarily in the financial services sector
• Be proficient in the use of Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
• Be a member or Affiliate of the BCI or similar organisation
• Be an effective communicator and credible in front of senior stakeholders
• Have experience of working in large, complex IT organisations
• Able to develop pragmatic solutions
• Good general banking know how
