MediLink Consulting are looking to recruit an SHO in General Medicine to join a dynamic NHS Hospital in East Sussex
Hourly Rate: GBP40.00+

Report to: Consulant
Location: East Sussex
Job Title: SHO in General Medicine
Hours: As per rota
Job Purpose:
The successful candidates will be responsible for the day to day management of in patients under the supervision of the ward consultants within Internal Medicine. You will ensure that all patients are reviewed daily and that established management plans are fulfilled. You will be required to work on the on-call rota for this post.
The posts provide opportunity for learning, reflection and development, and ensure that the correct level of competence is achieved, including:
•Clinical history and examination.
•Diagnostic testing.
•Formulating and implementing management plans for patients within sphere of competence in both acute and long-term situation.
•Clinical skills (blood gases, lumbar puncture, central lines, surgical technique).
•Responsibility for effective communication with other members of the clinical team to ensure the planned management for each patient is carried out.
•Communication with patients and their relatives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managerial:
Maintaining Good Medical Practice and understanding of professional standards will be nurtured and developed, with Senior Clinician input.
Administrative:
Maintaining appropriate documentation and close working relations with clerical staff will be expected.
