Electronic Design Engineer/Hardware Design Engineer

Capital International is recruiting an experienced contract Electronic Design/Hardware Design Engineer to join an established electronics specialist based in Buckinghamshire.

Initially a 3 month contract, there is potential for longevity. This is an excellent opportunity to support a variety of exciting new and existing projects within the electronics engineering group.

The successful candidate will need a strong background in electronic design, as well as an appreciation of EMC design, mechanical and electrical engineering.

Some of the key skills and experience required:

- Design of electronic assemblies - both new and reconfiguration of existing designs
- Broad knowledge of Electronic Engineering methodologies, processes and tools
- Experience of component selection, including obsolescence
- Experience of general engineering design ideally gained from the defence/aerospace/space industry
- Microsoft Office suite/Microsoft Outlook

As the contract Electronic Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

- Providing design solutions for electrical/electronic equipment, taking into account EMC design
- Investigation into faults down to component level
- Providing support to other engineering functions
- Writing of technical reports, specifications and test procedures
- Provision of practical engineering support to other activities within the business

The successful candidate will be required to gain full security clearance to SC level.
