Two new positions for Supply Chain Project Co-ordinators have now arisen on this team due to the successful bids on further projects.
The company is a distributor of products to manufacturers of electronic equipment. They have enjoyed substantial growth over the last 10 years, now employing over 110 people worldwide and with a business achieving sales in excess of £40m. Their customers come from many areas (automotive, medical, security equipment) but the bulk of their activity is within the defence sector.
As part of their business model, they offer a Third Party Logistics service to a few of their large Defence sector clients, working on multi-million pound projects on their behalf.
As a Supply Chain Project Co-ordinator your duties will include:
• Working in a team based environment on a specific client project
• Providing quotations via MRP format (Excel)
• Raising sales and purchase orders
• Constant liaison with the client and with various approved suppliers
• Expediting orders
• Ensuring the smooth flow of communication through the supply chain
• Arranging shipments to the customers
• Open order book management
• Updating the various IT systems
• Pulling together information from different systems for reporting purposes
• Producing KPI’s on stock control, billings, profit etc
• Quality reporting
• Resolve invoice queries
The ideal Supply Chain Project Co-ordinator will have the following skills and experiences:
• Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
• Somebody who is willing to go ‘above and beyond’ if necessary
• Flexibility - NO CLOCKWATCHERS
• Strong character with excellent communication skills
• Customer focused
• Excellent IT skills especially Excel
• Ability to problem solve in an effective manner
• Use their own initiative and work well under pressure
This is a TEAM role, so you will be expected to cover for your team members in the case of sickness and holidays.
In return you will receive a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 pa.
